In 2019, two brothers were inspired to join Scouts BSA Troop 451 boys from their friend's Eagle Court of Honor. They have one interested sister that hung out with her brothers in scouting events. In 2021, a Scout mom joined Wood Badge leadership training and decided to bring Scouting awareness to girls especially the "sisters" of Units 451.

On July 21, 2021, that same sister invited her friends and family and other "sisters" and a small group of girls gathered to learn how Scouting would benefit them.

Scouts BSA is a year-round program for youth 11-17 years old that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. For the first time in its 100+ year history, Scouts BSA is open to young women as well as young men, all of whom will have the chance to earn Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. In Scouts BSA, young men and women go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else.

Our first linked girl troop started with that one informational meeting and we just got involved with enjoying scouting. That summer evening, we decided our first ever patrol would be called the "QUEEN BEES" as we would lead other girls in our troop. Our Troop name is Troop 2451 girls. We made our troop shirt and our patrol flag and went shopping for our Scouts BSA Uniform. We do everything together as Scout sisters.
